I can't comment on Sims 1 here, the base game, but all the EPs are in dvd
cases. The base I have is the Deluxe edition, includes Livin' Large, and
that is cd in cd case, in bcardboard box - but as I bought it in Best Buy in
Orlando, it doesn't count.

The Sims 2 base game has 4 cds in one
double thickness dvd case, each with it's own place though, it was the EPs
have disk 2 in envelopes.
I don't know where they make them. It's certainly space saving over the box
if they are being shipped over here, and it's easier to store them too. The
"manuals" fit inside the cases.
