oh well. This is why I've learned never to say "I've seen it all now!"

Nabbed a few of these for the office
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=086
Seems to be a good design so far, a good compromise between a
full-vertical but clunky mouse and a traditional horizontal mouse. I
like the tallness of it, though I wish it (like all mice) were a bit
longer, and I like the smooth scroll wheel.

As soon as they come out with a rechargeable one, I'll get one myself.

He ought to go hang out near the Peta folks and see what their reaction
is! ;>

I'm not sure they'll ever do that. I've had one of their wireless mice
for about 3-4 years (actually this is my second one because I wore out the
RMB*) so I think if they were inclined to follow Logitech and make a
recharging cradle or something, they would have by now. I just use
regular batteries which last around 6 months. I do have some rechargeable
ones that I suppose I should use in it.

* No one had the all black ones anymore so I ended up putting the guts of
the new mouse into the old shell. Smile Then I bought a 3rd one on sale as
a backup but it had some problem that I don't remember - the receiver
didn't work? Rather than take it back to the brick and mortar store where
I got it (no wonder it was broken, it's not masonry!) I took it's
microswitches and soldered them into the guts of the original mouse with
the broken RMB. So now I have a black good one, a silver and black good
one, and a silver and black one that doesn't have a working receiver or a
RMB switch. Long story.

I was thinking of Sherry when I first read the post title. She was
pretty handy at times.

Reminds me of the time I brought home a bunch of mice with broken left
buttons.
