In Gaheris it's over, the other servers are in total umbalance, the server
clustering it's a good idea... but with 3 servers in umbalance in the same
realm (albion) it's not good....

I wait the next free extention with the RvR mission and the iRvR, but I
think it's over....

The situation in Europe it's well.... the same... Except we don't have the
clustering yet and Cat (it's really a good expension....) and all the realms
are in total umbalance...

The game has 3 years it's old for a video game.... I had some greats moments
with this game... But now.... I think it's over.... I wait 1 or 2 months
until I take a decision to left or to rest in DAOC....

Noors in Gaheris server

Levaillant in Broceliande server

I am sorry to hear that. I play EverQuest but have long had an interest in
DAoC. I thought the RvR and PvP aspects of the game must be fun in addition
to the setting of Camelot. I've always heard good things about the game. I
might be playing it now in fact but I've been spending some time on
Asheron's Call 2 while their servers are still up. My first MMORPG was
Asheron's Call and I always wanted to see AC2. So I am doing it for at least
a time now. I still want to revisit Asheron's Call Dark Majesty when they
ship the expansion this Spring too. It will be fun to return to Dereth and
see what they do with it these many years later. I bet a lot of old AC
players will return to see.

But DAoC and all of its expansions, including the most recent one and the
accompanying strategy guides sits on my software shelf, waiting its turn. I
was planning to play it next. But whatever I do outside of EverQuest is
purely a secondary thing for me for fun. EQ is my game. I just love it,
regardless of how good anything else, new or old may be.

Maybe I should install DAoC and start a Necro on some server to see it while
i can if what you are saying is true. I'd hate to miss out on seeing the
world of Camelot and I bet I could level a Necro pretty quick and see a lot
with the experience i have in these kind of games now.

Any suggestions for a good active server with balanced population of realms?

I hope you play in US server Smile so choose a clustered server.... like Nimue
/Percival if you are RP or other clustered server... if you want to have a
chance to play Smile

Merlin, lancelot and guineverre are in total umbalance....

In europe if you want to play welll... I know the situation on the french
servers.... Total umbalance except Carnac or .... well... may be Orcanie...

Have a great day Smile

Dark Age is not all as doom and gloom as some say.
In general, all of the servers have higher Albion populations than
Midgard or Hibernia. As to which server to play, well, it depends on
what you are looking for. If you just want to see as much of the game
worlds as you can then I would suggest either Gaheris or Mordred. The
caveat here is that Gaheris is an all PvE server and Mordred is an all
PvP server. The up side is that your character can travel to all of
the worlds on these two servers. On the regular servers you can only
travel in your homelands (PvE areas) and the frontiers (RvR areas).
If you choose one of the normal servers I would pick a clustered one
rather than one of the big non clustered servers like Lancelot or
Merlin. This may no longer be true but in the past the servers with
the big, well-known names were the ones that attracted the kiddies.

Na, that's rubbish, pick a high population server in the states (like Merlin
and Hib realm) and there is loads of player and RvR action. Okay you are
going to have to import the game but that only takes a few days from Canada.
The coming new RvR tasks is only going to strengthen a great game. I have
been playing WoW, and its a good game, but DAoC has more depth, complexity,
and better graphics; and all the recent work had just made it better than
ever.
It's true that the player base is down, but that only seems to have removed
the "immature" players (and I don't necessarily mean the young ones).
Regard
Steve
