Not IRL but in the Sims 2 Smile

I decided to take on the challenge levelled by someone here and build a
"house in the sky". I've got two floors (apart from the non-existent ground
floor). I built an elevator on the terrain. On the first floor I cannot
place an elevator directly on top of the one on the level below. The sims I
have just moved in keep shaking their heads and not going upstairs.

I thought this may be due to the elevator being placed on terrain rather
than flooring so decided to build another one from floor 1 to floor 2 (I'm
being northern European here and counting ground, 1, 2, etc. Or maybe it's
just a trait native to the country I come from...). Still a no-go zone. It
just won't build an elevator directly above.

Is this because the elevator is in the middle of the floor and not against a
wall (I figured it would look more "natural" to have a "supporting
structure" in the middle rather than at the edge of a dwelling)? Or just a
buggy lot? Should I just give up and build a stairway to heaven instead of
an elevator?

OK, never mind. It finally worked. Nothing changed, it just decided to
cooperate all of a sudden.

Club Inferno is now fully functional!

Hooray, can't wait to see it!

Are you going to package it?

I've never packaged anything in my life but I might have a go...

It still needs a lot of tweaking but was definitely playable. I'm just
trying to balance need-filling at the moment. Customers were leaving rather
rapidly, possibly because there were a lot of "fun"objects around and this
need got filled rather quickly. Although Mortimer Goth and Don Lothario kept
hanging around in the hot tub like a bad smell. Made a bit of money out of
them!

And I might have to change it into a commercial lot so I can have food
service employees rather than my poor family sims running around cooking!
They were living upstairs. Can you live on commercial lots?

No - your sims can only live on the lot if they run a home business. I
guess that's meant to be the point.

Best wishes

Thanks Maxon. I figured it would have to be something like that.

Cheers!
