Is it possible to "edit" a flight in MS FS 2002? I know I can save a
new flight over the existing one by giving it the same name, but is
there an easy way (i.e. a text cfg file) to see and edit a flight
(changing winds, clouds, radio frequencies, etc) or do I have to load
it, tinker with it in FS, and then save it with the same name?

Apropos of that, what is the source of the settings (weather, failures,
etc) that come up initially when I "create a flight"?

FS2002 is dim in my memory but look for files with extensions like flt or
wx. If they exist - and I may be getting my versions mixed - the flt is
the flight and the wx is the weather. When you start an existing flight
these are used. For a new flight it creates them and uses whatever weather
it has.
