Hi

I just bought Nintendo DS machine, I have to say this is truly an
amazing machine, aside from that, I bought new super Mario, and brain
age, like every one....,
now I was wondering, is there other good games in the style of brain
age (for my dad) and other good Nintendo ds games in general, how is
the Mario kart ds is it that good?

Any other good innovation games that use the touch screen in
interesting manner ?

thanks
O

Over G -

Brain Academy (I'm pretty sure that's the name) is a different twist on
the same kind of stuff as Brain Age. I've played the former several
times but was too lazy to purchase; I own the latter.

For a neat look at using the stylus, check out Wario Ware. It's a
whole slew of mini games that are all focused around using the stylus
in interesting ways (reeling a fishing pole, drawing a trampoline,
etc.). It's a great way to waste some time with the DS.

Though it doesn't utilize the stylus, I've spent hours upon hours
playing Metroid Pinball - the dual screen makes it awesome. I'd
definetely check that one out. Most games (the good ones, anyways ^_^)
though seem to have minimal use for the stylus, and more use for the
fact that you have two screens - Mario Kart DS is a good example of
that. At E3 this year there were some showings of neat game that used
the stylus, so expect more in the future.

If you like Tetris, then there is a Tetris for the DS. I was going to
look into that one myself since I love Tetris. I read the write up about
it in Nintendo Power and it looks like a good game. I know that you can
play with other people.

Another good game using the stylus is Polarium. If you enjoy puzzle
games then you would like this one. This game is played using the
stylus.
This is the description on the box:
Prepare for brain-busting puzzles and fast twitch action as you draw
lines to flip black and white tiles and make patterns and puzzles
disappear.
As patterns relentlessly fall from the top screen, draw lines to reverse
their polarity and make them disappear. The more you clear, the faster
they come.

I couldn't have described it any better. I do know it's an addicting
game.

I would definitely recommend Starfox DS game that came out recently, I
got it and it is AWESOME!!! I would also recommend Meteos or Tetris DS
as your puzzle game and... Mario Kart as your main Wi-Fi game, if you
have Wi-Fi.

Yeah, tetris DS is pretty cool, I have it and played, well, too much
time to count it.

I also tried big brain academy and I must tell it's a pretty neat game
too. We played wireless with somes friends and we had much fun.

Mario Kart is also THE game to have. I own it and always play. It's so
fun you just can't put it down.

Also, there is a great strategy game: Advance wars. Damn this game
takes all my time. (Albeit being a bit on the hard side, I really
recommend it)

And then there is animal crossing, strange but cool. It's the type of
game you play less but that will grow on you as you play. Until your gf
dumps you and all of your friends stop calling you.

Then more time to play!

I love Advance Wars. It's one of most fun games I've played on any
platform. For strategy games, Battles of Prince of Persia is good
too.
