This leads up to getting a really, really nice blue two
handed mace, Verigan's Fist (25.6 dps), which my pallys
used into the low 40's.

The worst part is retreiving an item from Shadowfang
Keep; go with a party of higher levels for that one.

The required item is in the stables, so if you're just getting a group of
pallies to go in and get it, you don't have to go all the way to the boss to
get what you need.

Of course, most groups are still going to go all the way to Arugal just for
the drops... but you don't -have- to go all the way.

There's the Verigan's Fist questline, which I think starts at level 20.

I left the Exodar area for Stormwind really early with my pally and
ended up missing my rez quest till I was 23 lvl. I didn't know that
the pally trainer in SW wouldn't carry the quest for draenei. Just
something to consider.

Should be one around lvl 20 to go to a bunch of instances and then get a
good 2h mace, probably you can pick it up in IF if you can't find it in
Exodar.

Duskwood, if you've not done it to death - I just love the storylines in
that zone, it's one of the best zones in the game as far as lore goes. On
my draenei I went to Ashenvale and Duskwood, did Ashenvale as I'd never
fully done it on Alliance, plus there's a Draenei settlement at Forest
Song, so it seemed the right place to take her. Duskwood I just did because
I love it, and also I discovered an Ashenvale questline led to Duskwood and
tied in with some of the lore there, which fascinated me as i'd always
missed that link before. You may be able to get away with only doing one
zone in the 20s now the levelling got sped up, but I suspect not; was
wondering if my young shaman could get away with only doing Hillsbrad but
at 24 every quest is orange, so back to Stonetalon for me

Oh yeah, and for high 20s (28-32ish) if you've never done them before, go
to Hillsbrad (Southshore) and Thousand needles (Shimmering Flats) - those
are two of my favourite places to go for a couple of levels, only a few
quests but fun and not overcrowded because a lot of people never discover
them, at least Alliance people, as I think they just assume those zones are
Horde only. Shimmering flats is also extremely good if you're a skinner, as
the basic idea of the quests is kill everything in sight and loot
everything off the ground, and there's your quests done... as everything in
sight includes a lot of beasts, there's plenty of leather to be had

I'd avoid those until mid 30's, Hillsbrad and Thousand Needles (early
30s).

Since the early quests suffer from low level mixed with high level
quests, I'd do:

Ashenvale to Stonetalon (20-22)
Wetlands (22-24)
Early Duskwood quests (24-25)
Later Wetlands and Ashenvale with Forest Song (25-27)
Later Duskwood (27-30)

This might be a bit affected by that elite area up in north Wetlands
offering more quests and xp. I never did those because of the elite...
No idea what level of challenge it is now.

Maybe that's a plus for the new system - no more wandering about
everywhere on an alt. Just doing a few of the zones should make each
alt's experience a little different.

On pvp server I'd agree, but as I'm on a pve server I go Hillsbrad at
28-29, and Shimmering Flats at 30-31.

I found even before the levelling changes that doing all 3 of those zones
ended in half the quests going grey, now I think you can definitely only do
2 unless you like leaving zones unfinished.

On my server it was impossible to find a group for SFK, so at level
23/24 I soloed the full questline. SFK was easy (but only did it to get
the item and didn't progress further). Had to bubble at Rethingore as I
pulled him with adds but it wasn't too hard. SFK isn't what it used to
be .

Or a minus for those of us who like questing and see all those quests
becoming too easy too fast I wish they'd add an option to let us go
back to original levelling speed if we want to - fair enough, let people
level fast if they're the can't-wait-to-reach-70 types, but let those of us
who *like* the journey enjoy it!

No fun doing quests that you outlevelled though, they're too easy. I
generally don't even do green quests unless they lead to yellow ones.
