I will download ARENA from elderscrolls even though I own ..

hi all....

i just now thought of something!! i see the bethsoft/elderscrolls
still has the ARENA up for downloading. i will get it even though
i own the boxed game, still in my closet!

the reason why i never played it was that this game basicly ran off of
the cd player, and that cd-player whinned away at full speed
each and every moment of gameplay!
no one, on dagger forums ever was able to find a way to fully install
this game! ya had to play it on the cd-in-cdplayer!

until NOW!
i see this 9, or so, meg download is a file that sits on the hard
drive: i can play it now without the cd!!

now if it were more stable...i read that some like it better than
daggerfall or morrowind!!

Well, it is harder than the other two games. You don't have the class
maker, item maker and potion maker, but I think the spell maker is there.
You have to visit a lot of towns to find the best equipment. But the
dungeons are much better to navigate than in Daggerfall. They consist of
regular floors linked by stairs, and you can map them completely. No trap
doors or flooded areas. The night sky is much more beautiful than in
Daggerfall, similar to Morrowind but with some really intriguing objects
that look like they might not be natural ... perhaps Tamriel was colonized
from space sometime long ago??
