I just bought a new game: Half Life 2. It also comes with Countersrike:
Source and Operation Gordon.
I had read complaints about HL2 being too short. So far I cannot agree.
I've got about 4 hours into it so far, and I haven't even made it to the
Main Menu: I'm still updating Steam over my trusty dial-up connection.
Out of curiosity, I tried to start the other 2 games: I get a friendly
message from Steam telling me that Operation Gordon will be ready to play
in 310 minutes, and Counterstrike: Source will be ready in 920 minutes. It
is reassuring to know that Valve is looking out for those of us who are
concerned about maximizing gaming time vs. gaming dollar spent.
How on earth DS missed the Steam boat is beyond me; a natural fit if ever
there was one.

Br t, I almost have access to my old email now, it's still crashing a
lot but I seem to have most of the mails intact. There should be one
of yours in there that needed answering before xmas, so I'm getting
around to it.

There was? Was it clever? Because if it wasn't clever, I would rather you
just ignored it. As you have been. For several months now.
"Bastard," he sighed, casting a sidelong glance towards his own pile of
unanswered e-mails from good friends. (Hi, Don).
