Hmm.
Well, at least PC versions can BE patched. There's another reason that it
may be a GOOD thing for guys like me that the PS2 version has been delayed.
Maybe they'll fix some stuff.
Yeah. F'ing cameras. Cameras are just plain hard to get right. They have
to not pop into walls, not get caught in tight places, not jerk fitfully
around trying to avoid such things -- and still be as maneuverable as
possible. I do a bit of geometry programming for a 3D modeling and
animation program (Esperient Creator). I haven't done any work with
cameras -- but I can well imagine the difficulties. I remember that in the
early TRs, it was very difficult to get the camera to swing around and show
Lara's face. There were little nooks in some levels that you could squeeze
Lara into and the camera couldn't follow -- so it HAD to swing around in
front of her. So, I think the modern camera has been improved a little
(unless they just now broke it again). But I'd sure believe it if it's
still pretty far from perfect.
