1) Other than asking in trade, how do I find out what the daily heroic is?
2) What's the best party DPS meter addon? Is there a good one that will run
in Titan Panel?

I really like SW Stats. I like the different views you can have to
show which abilities are hitting for how much etc. Very interesting
stuff.

And it finally works. I just used it in today's daily heroic in slave
pens. And of course my balanced druid kicked ass despite that it was a bad
day for me (I was in charge for all wipes etc.).

Talk to the questgiver in Lower City, obviously.
However, this won't work if you already have a heroic quest from a previous
day; he'll ask you about your current one rather than the new one.
If you want to find out the current day's quest without abandoning the
current one first, look at the hologram image next to him. That always
depicts the end boss for the current day's heroic.

Well, obviously, if I've never talked to him and no one has ever told me
about him before, it's not going to be obvious. The word "obvious" means
"self-evident," not "that's for me to know and for you to find out," and I'm
sure I'm not the only person on the planet who finds the (sadly common)
latter usage to be patronizing and not a little insulting. It's not like the
guy has a big neon sign above his head that says "get your daily heroics
right here," so I fail to see how this is obvious in any way.
Plus, "the questgiver in Lower City" isn't very specific, as directions go.
Lower City is a big place with lots of different people in it, and many of
them are questgivers. A name or a particular part of Lower City would be much
more helpful.

Which is somewhat annoying when it's one of 3 dragony things (OHB, BM,
Ramparts) - I for one can't tell the difference between them, although at
least all the others are nice and easy to work out!
Works the same way for normal btw; the hologram next to the normal daily
questgiver shows the mobs required for it, and those thankfully are all
distinct from each other (once you remember which colour is which of the
arcane sentry type mobs for the Arca and Mech quests)

Well if you've never talked to him perhaps you should mention that fact...
otherwise it's hardly going to be obvious to the rest of us that you don't
know where he is! I'm assuming it's obvious to *anybody* that a daily quest
requires a questgiver, so I'd hope that you'd be aware of the possibility
of his existence, at least...

Couldn't tell you the name, but on the outer side of the ring, about
halfway round (I think the furthest east part, though I'm a bit hazy on
specifics - I just fly round till I reach them!), there's 2 Consortium guys
with holograms beside them - the one on the left gives the heroic daily,
the one on the right gives normal.

lol, well, admittedly it's not neon, but they *do* have a plenty big
blue exclamation mark over his head that *also* shows up on the
minimap that says "Get your daily quest here".
Okay, so you have to find the particular one of them that is for the
daily heroic, but all you asked for how to find out which dungeon the
daily was for, *not* how to get the heroic daily quest. If you had
have asked that, people would have told you to go to the east side of
Shattrath, in the lower city and talk to Consortium dude on the left
(as you're standing in front of them) that has a blue exclamation mark
over his head.
>Plus, "the questgiver in Lower City" isn't very specific, as directions go.
>Lower City is a big place with lots of different people in it, and many of

You weren't asking how to find them though, just how to find out which
dungeon the daily heroic was in without asking in Trade channel. And
could it actually be any more self-evident that you can find out what
you have to do for a quest than by asking the npc that *gives* you
that quest?
You got all the help you asked for and then some (like how to find out
what the current daily was if you still had the quest from a previous
day. I didn't know that myself, so thanks), but you didn't ask the
question you wanted answered, so didn't get the answer you wanted.
That's no reason to get upset at others.

I understand completely, and I think that a simple answer of where to find
the questgiver would have sufficed.
However I will play the devil's advocate and point out that you did not
originally ask where to buy apples but rather "How do I find out what apples
are being sold today?" and you were given the correct answer - "Go to the
market yourself".

Takes practice... but if he has an orc on his back, it's Ramparts. If
he is shedding tiny black scales of evilness, it's Durnholde. And if
neither of the above, it's Black Morass.

I always save up normal and heroic Bot, unless I want to do the
daily. A quick heroic Bot run with both quests is a highly profitable
run that takes little more than an hour with a strong party. (Granted
I usually do it with a good pally tank, and it might be a little bit
slower with a warrior or druid.)

Turns out I was wrong about the other two - the BM one has black
flakes. I don;t know if the DK one has. (BM was the daily today, and
as I was helping someone out in DK I went to pick up what I thought
was the DK daily dungeon, but it wasn't.)
But anyway, Ramparts is definitely the only one with a rider
Pugged DK a load of times at 68... I love that instance.

Never tried heroic bot yet, none of the drops there really appeal to me.
Usually I save heroic mech as I need the boots, and normal SL/SH as I have
to do those for rep/drops too. I probably should run badge runs a bit more
but it's kinda disheartening when the only items that are upgrades to me
all require 60+ badges... I'm up to 36 right now, mainly from Karazhan :-/

Erm, not really. Try wording it in a way that makes it clear you don't know
where he is... that most definitely did not, just sounded like you (as a
lot of us) like to keep quests until you know the current day's one is
better.
