Cheating? Hmmm...This might be kind of long...
Leveling up mistakes-- tell me about it! When I first got this game I made
potions like crazy & then kept leveling up... Think the game had me at L-10
or some ridiculous number. Of course I got slaughtered when I entered my
first dungeon. Lesson Learned: do *not* blaze through a major skill!
But Trinity, your idea about "cheating"... Hmmm... Hadn't thought of it that
way.
<pauses to ponder>
I can see your point. I'm not "playing" the game in the spirit in which it
was intended, but why waste time watching your character tread water?
I look at it this way. I *am* playing by the rules-- e.g. Spending the
actual game time it takes to build up that skill.
My mage *could* still drown if the "Q" key approach eventually works him out
of the corner of the pool & he gets his head under water. So I'm "playing"
the game by taking the calculated risk of leaving it unattended.
Make sense? Heh! Maybe don't answer that one!
More curious than serious about it at this point. How long *does* it take?
(And if anyone is interested, his skill level is now 88 & counting.)
So anyone here maxed out Athletics? If so, how long did it take?
Anyway I'm rooting for my "abandoned" character now & hope he doesn't
accidently drown.

BTW: DeAnn, I read your post about a.g.mw when I was catching up on things.
Didn't see *any* activity there for October. Bummer... but as someone else
posted-- you're not alone. I enjoyed reading your "Archers of White Oaks"
installments. Think it would piss people off if I posted a little something
of my own? No one really "knows" me since I mainly lurk. Might come off as
a case of "newbie-itis"-- posting too much.

So back to lurking...
