I read somewhere Unfortunately I can't find it now. Anyway what I read
confirmed that EA/MAXIS is currently working on SimCity 5! I'll post when
I find It again.

Maxis will cut corners to reduce costs. They will probably just use the same
graphics engine and style that The Sims 2 has. It should be an easy
copy/paste. That is if anything is actually happening*
