I'm here. I dug up an old PC and put Daggerfall on it. Having a little
problem with MIDI sound so the music isn't there but then again I can still
hear it in my head!

I love the music in Daggerfall. I wonder why the music in Morrowind
isn't nearly as varied. I still play Daggerfall on my old machine and
I am still finding new things about it.

I'll have to work on the MIDI sound, but at least the monsters make noise.
And that strange guitar when you're close to fire sound, almost forgot about
that one.

After purchasing my original PII, I walked into the game store and asked the
guy for a good RPG that wasn't aimed at kids. He sold me Daggerfall for
$19.95 and for years it was the only PC game I owned. There are a lot of
places I haven't even been to and was having so much fun with the guild and
townspeople quests, I never bothered with the main plot too much so there's
still plenty left to do.

That fire sound is quite loud on my machine. It drives me a little
nuts sometimes.

I got Daggerfall almost the exact same way. I have been playing it on
and off ever since. I enjoy the Main Quest and have finished it
several times, but I know what you mean about really getting into the
guild and townspeople's quests. I had the game for two years before I
finally finished the Main Quest for the first time.

Yeah, that can be pretty annoying. The MIDI is going now after trying a
bunch of different choices. I am noticing musical notes I didn't notice on
my old system, like bells in the starter dungeon.

Congratulations on getting the MIDI working. I think the music adds a
lot to the game. I don't think I get bells in the starter dungeon,
but it has been a long time since the last time I was there. I am
also playing on an old machine with an old sound card, so it may just
not be playing them.
