I'm not a launch vet, only September '03, but I've not cancelled any of my 3
real accounts (so far), only accounts that I'd inherited from friends that
left the game. The temptation is strong to cancel my Trader account, if
only because it's really not practical to make much of anything any more. I
do still enjoy reverse engineering space loot though, so that may not
happen.
I've been a lurker and occasional poster here in the newsgroup for probably
2 years or so now. When there are people online to talk to in my guild,
it's still a lot of fun. When there's no one else on, it's much less fun
and I don't tend to log on or stay on as much as I used to. The new
increase in XP for leveling characters though may make me play some more
since I can see improvement in my XP bar in a reasonable amount of time.
Ironically, I've gone back to what I'd been doing before starting to play
SWG... Tabletop role-playing and single player games. I've never been a
MMO fan, I only joined SWG for the SW. I can see improvements with every
fix, but as others have said many places, it's really just returning the
game closer to where it was before the NGE.
Population seems to fluctuate, there are times Lowca's almost completely
dead, and other times it's hopping. It's usually around a middling activity
level.
