The original myst I had some quicktime issues with. I strongly suggest you
play RealMyst instead. Riven worked well, but too bad they didn't make a
RealRiven, I'd much rather play that!

I had problems with win xp service pack 2. The Date Execution Prevention
was causing instability especially in Eder Kemo and Eder Gira with the water
falls. I had to reinstall windows and make sure that the automatic updates
were turned off so that xp wouldn't try to install sp 2. After that games
worked fine.

I am running URU:Complete Chronicles on my Win XP machine with SP2. No
problems at all. I do however, also have directx 9.0c so my video card is up
to speed.
I've heard of people having problems with this and other games, but I have
had none on my Compaq running:

Pentium 4 with a 4.53 ghz chip
NVidia GeForce 4 card
500 mgs of RAM

Have you tried the troubleshooter at the manufacturer's homepage?
