New daily quests

I went into Lower City yesterday and talked to 3 of the new daily
quest providers. I found one that gave a dungeon quest, one that gave
a heroic dungeon quest, and one that gave a battleground quest. I
found the cooking one too but skipped over him for the time being.

Picked up the other 3, and the battleground happened to be Eye of the
Storm, and it also happened to be EotS weekend still, so I went in.
Believe it or not, its the first EotS I have ever done in the now very
close to a year the expansion has been out. I don't know if all EotS
battles are like this, but it was very close and very tense. It was
fun. We won the battle, consequently completing my quest, by only
about 60-70 points over the alliance.

While in the battleground I was in the queue for Heroic Black Morass,
which was the heroic daily I had. By the time the battle finished I
was in a full group with people already headed to Tanaris. They got
there, summoned me, and we went into heroic BM. None of us had done
BM on heroic before, so the first attempt was kind of a learning
experience. It seems the portals spawn at a faster rate than on non-
heroic and taking too much time at one portal puts you behind on the
second portal. Had a druid tanking, pally healing, rogue DPS, and my
warlock and shaman on DPS and add duty. We managed to down the first
boss but didn't make it to the 2nd boss because of lack of DPS on the
rift lords. So we switched the shaman to DPS the rift lords while I
handled the adds myself. This went pretty well up to the 2nd boss,
where we wiped because of lack of DPS on the boss himself.

Set up for 3rd attempt, everything went very smooth, we were doing
great and all felt confident we would complete it this time. Got to
2nd boss, ignored adds, DPSed the boss down and dropped beacons on the
adds that were now grouped around Medihv. Shield was still holding
around 60%. Final wave of portals start, and on the 2nd portal
something went horrible wrong. I saw the tank and rogue die, the
shaman finished off the rift lord before an add that just spawned
killed him, the last add before that one I was dealing with killed me
with some arcane missles (which hit really hard). Just then the
paladin springs to life and finished off the last 2 adds himself and
starts rezzing. Turns out he hit a lag spike and wasn't able to heal
anyone. He rezzed the shaman and the druid, who in turn rezzed me and
the rogue, but by the time we got ourselves back up 2 portals had
already spawned, the shield was down to about 30% and there was no way
we were going to be able to catch up. So we called it quits, as other
people had to get to raids they had scheduled.

I wasn't able to get into another heroic BM group, and the last daily
I had was for Shattered Halls. I tried to find a group for that but
surprisingly there were very few people running it. I figured since
it was a daily there would be more, but I guess not. Then I saw there
was a group looking for 1 DPS for Shadow Labs, and since I had a quest
to kill the 3rd boss and loot a book from him, I joined up.

Pretty smooth run, few bad pulls but nothing major. Was cutting it
close on the 3rd boss, I needed to go, as did a few other people who
had raids planned and had to get going themselves. We easily downed
the 3rd boss, I looted his body and quickly hearthed. Wife was coming
home soon and I wanted to avoid that aggro. I reappeared in Shat and
went to the mailbox to mail stuff to my bank alt, then to a vendor to
sell a bunch of trash when I noticed something. My last bag was
completely full. I usually have a few spaces left in that bag. I
start looking around when I suddenly realize that in my hurry to loot
my quest item and leave the instance I must have missed the "Your bags
are full" message. I didn't loot the book I needed.

After the initial outburst of swearing that usually occurs when you
realize you did something really stupid, I realized that SL is
probably an instance I will run again and again, so its nothing to
worry about. Still, would have been nice to get yet another quest out
of my inventory.

Yeah I read that you can complete the non-heroic ones in heroic mode,
but there was no one running either mode for Shattered Halls, which I
found somewhat odd considering the daily quest.

The quest was to kill 4 Shattered Hand Centurions, which I believe
spawn in both heroic and non-heroic mode, so I should have been able
to do it either way.
