I'd figure you guys would be the authority on all news related to
these projects. Are they still in development? Or can we consider them
vaporware?

Based on what was posted at the beginning of this year on www.adom.de,
JADE is still being developed, and not vaporware.

As for ADOM Deluxe though, I haven't seen anything about it and it
seems
that yes, it could be considered vaporware.

It is hoped that JADE v1.0 will be released this year, possibly even early
this year. No work's been done on ADOM in quite a while though, and though
Biskup says he hopes to release a bugfix update this year it looks very
unlikely. The chance of ADOM DX ever seeing the light of day is very slim
indeed.

Why do you think that? Why don't you think he could release it?

I think you ment version *0.1*. But I strongly believe that TB is not going
to release anything. He's just playing tricks with us and trying to keep up
image that JADE is not dead. Adom update maybe, in some distant future...
but not JADE.

well, on 2007 December 17 was released a new teaser of DNF.
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/50464

On Christmas we got brand new promise on JADE

I must admit sometimes I have feeling TB got very strange sense of
humor.

you can call me pessimistic, but i have no hopes at seeing JADE or new
version of ADOM at all.

I don't share this pessimism, however. I instead just decide to sit
back and
watch what happens.

Few things that makes me an unbeliever:
1) No blog update. Yes, TB said his server provider had some technical
difficulties, but he also said it should be fixed in couple of weeks.
Nothing has been done by now.
2) Silent year 2007

Of course he actually might release a new website design, a blog and JADE
0.1. I just have a feeling that he is not going to update adom.de before
Christmas 2008

Sorry, yes, typo there. I find a JADE release far more likely than an ADOM
update. From what he's been saying it seems like there has been little or
no work on ADOM at all, whilst JADE is progressing (albeit very slowly). I
won't hold my hopes up for an early JADE release like he says, but I do
think by the end of this year we will see something new. I can understand
your pessimism, of course, but I'm not giving up on TB yet Smile

I would be satisfied to read his blog, but there is no sign
of that. How hard it can be to set up a blog?

As hard as your provider makes it for you. And as hard as setting up
buggy open source software can be. And as hard as it can be if you are
CEO of a 45 person company with 14 hour workdays Wink But now it's
there... see http://www.adom.de/blog
