Hi everyone!

When dealing with the keys help screen, and also for the manual, I came
across some strange commands:

What do '>' and '=' do in target mode?

The former is documented in Linley's old manual ('>' is supposed to
fire projectiles to the specified point, causing them to drop there)
but this didn't seem to work for me. The latter is hinted at whenever
you're targetting something, but I couldn't find a difference to '+'.

Thanks,
David

Thank you! I always thought that choosing a spot and pressing . (dot)
would make that fireball or mephitic cloud explode right there.

David

PS: the missiles thing is not from me (either some changelog or a
manual - it was a definite source).

Ah, the behaviour here is useful more for spell targetting than missile
targetting. The '>' meaning 'pick this spot' is useful for area-effect
spells like fireball: selecting a square normally fires the fireball in
the direction of that square and it explodes when it first hits
something, while selecting a square with '>' makes the fireball explode
on that square unless it hits something first.
