Greetings,
I am curious as to whether the effects of spell enhancing items such as
staves and rings of ice / fire are cumulative when the bonus to damage
or effectiveness is calculated. For example, let's say a character is
wielding a staff of conjuration, wearing a ring of ice, and casting
Frost. Would the enhancement modifiers stack? If so, has it been
quantified?
Additionally, I'm also interested to know if enchancement items of the
same type are cumulative. For example, two rings of fire worn together,
possibly even in conjunction with a staff of fire.
My thanks in advance,

Simplifying it somewhat it works like this:
- up to 50 (this value may be different, don't remember exactly), your
spell power counts as is
- everything above 50 is divided by 2 (so 100 becomes 75)
- if after the above division you are above 100, everything above 100
gets divided again (200->125->112.5)
- if after the above divisions you are above 150, everything above 150
gets divided again (etc.)
The coefficients may be off, but the idea is as outlined above, so
something like 850 raw spell power (which *is* possible with enhancers)
gets modded down to ~200.
As such, with the good Int (25+), it might be pretty useless to wear
more than two modifiers. YMMV though, my mummy conjurer with 22 Int was
using 3 modifiers. >> Stay informed about: -crawl- Regarding Spells, Staves, and Rings |
