I notice in a menu that there are points of interest. No matter how I select
these though, I get no obvious indicator of where they are. Can anyone help
me?

I just started a Jedi (possibly no surprise since every other new player
seems to have done the same) and eventually am going to need a lightsaber
(ideally red). I hear a lot about needing to craft it but does this still
apply and if so how?

You can activate the waypoints for the Points of Interest in either your
data pad (K) or your planetary map (V). In the data pad click on the POI
tab and then double click on the POI of your choice. In the planetary
map you should be able to activate the waypoint by opening the POI
cascading menu, right clicking on the POI, and selecting activate
although with the recent changes I am uncertain if the second method
still works that way.

That worked, thanks!

Can you tell me how to bring up a radial menu?
Depending on where I read I'm supposed to do either holding the left mouse
button, clicking the right or something with the tilde key but I can't get
any of these or any combinations to do anything.

Put your mouse pointer/cross hair over your target and then press the
tilde key which is the key to the left of the one key on the upper row.

The button to the left of the number one does work, thanks again.
In my defence though that button is not a tilde on a UK keyboard. My tilde
is on the button left of the return key and requires the shift to be used.

Glad it worked, we actually have to use the shift key for it also but
for some reason it is still called the tilde key. I have never used a UK
keyboard although I did drink more than a few pints when I was stationed
there while in the US Air Force.
