If I scan for networks it gives error of no networks found.
So I enter my router details manually - ssid, wep key and have it
automatically assign ip. It still fails to find router.
If I enter ip address details, subnet and so on, it says settings incorrect
but I know they are correct. If I do assign manually it also wants primary
and secondary dns which I cannot change to automatic.
Router is a D-Link 604 wireless. Can anyone please advise. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

Still not working. Gives error code 50099 unable to find access point. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

How about stripping the router of any security and then switching it on one
by one till it stops working? You might wanna disconnect your pc if you like
first though.

I disabled the wep on the router and the DS still does not find an access
point. I even tried searching with the DS within 1cm of the router. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

What about SSID broadcasting? You'll need that switched on too. And MAC
filtering off. You might even need to turn the DHCP on before the DS will
detect it (although I'm not sure on that count).

I know it's not much help, but but that's the same router I have, and it
works fine for me.
I have mine set with WEP turned on, and also SSID broadcasting set to on.
Mac filtering is off. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

Wep is on, SSID broadcasting I think is on (didnt have a problem with psp)
but I cannot find the setting for mac filtering. Where is that please? >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

SSID is on, DHCP is on, not sure if mac filtering is off yet. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

Are you using dhcp or have you given the DS an ip address? >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

I'm not sure as mine router's not set up at the moment.
I'm using DHCP. >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

Are you up to date with the router firmware? I don't have a DS so I can
only suggest general ideas
I only ask because I had some crazy behaviour with my PSP on an old
3Com router: firstly it grabbed the IP address which my laptop was
using and then the PSP would throw up the DNS error unless the router
was restarted. The latest firmware made everything work! Having said
that, I then upgraded to the new router model so I could use DDNS >> Stay informed about: Cannot connect DS to router |

Not sure if I am up to date at the moment. That is my next step tomorrow,

Have you tried limiting the speed on the router to 1-2Mbs? Also have you
set it for mixed b/g mode?
