I've ascended the priest, tourist, rogue, and wizard roles, so I
decided to try a conduct game: a wishless, genoless, athiest, vegan,
survivalist chaotic priest. And damn, is he doing well: AC -7, +2
speed boots, a +7 rusty mace, unihorn, magic resistance (from the
cloak) and reflection (from the amulet). Additionally, he knows
sleep, healing, extra healing, and force bolt, and found the luckstone
at mines' end.
Thing is, he's now very, very tempted to forget athiest conduct
because he found the Orb of Fate and a neutral altar on the same bones
level. Furthermore, smoky potions are a common potion - restore
ability, I think, and I've found at least four, tempting me to break
wishless.
Would you break conducts for this game? And given that Spork splint
mail is still really heavy but allows spellcasting, would you go with
splint mail, studded leather, or +2 elven mithril? Or would you keep
the splint mail and dig down to a source of DSM using wand of digging/
pick-axe (both of which I've procured)? >> Stay informed about: first conduct game (Spork) - need help |

How's your pets?
If you can polypet something nasty you can be a vengeful atheist and see
what books and other gear the other priests have.
Remember that most dragon scales are actually useful in spork so you can
just go down the stairs until you see one you like.
Have you found a bag of holding yet?

I'm currently playing a neutral Monk who's cleared Sokoban and Minetown, and has suddenly been faced with a early wish from a friendly djinni. I still lack both....
First conduct(s) ascent, Monk - Hi all, Since finishing all of the classes in vanilla Nethack I decided to try a conduct game. This is really more like it - much more challenging and fun, in my opinion. I went with a Monk. My conducts by the end were: You were vegetarian. You neve...
Monk - Failed conduct consequences?? - Ok, so I have a pretty good monk going. However, I (mindlessly) made the mistake of eating a floating eye corpse. For every other character, you wanna get the nice ability as soon as possible, and I ate is almost reflexively. (Is that a word?) 'You..
YAAP: Lazy Samurai, no teleports (not a fun conduct) - So I have been playing a lot recently (well, for me; 20-30 minutes a morning on weekdays with occasional evening stints) and doing conduct games. I recently finished a couple of illiterates (Cav, Val (also polyless polyselfless genoless)) but when I lost...
old game idea - If someone happens to have a saved game which is more than a month old, have the character affected by amnesia. A spell is forgotten, a few levels are forgotten and a few items have reverted to their unidentified state. |
