In most peoples minds it's ok to copy games and movies. Doesn't make it
legal, though.
A good rule of thumb: Most People Are Thick/Wrong/Stupid

I quite agree.

Not quite a fair comparison. The DS is *designed* to be able to play GBA
games *out of the box*. The Xbox isn't.
I'm not suggesting that ugvh wouldn't have been a more appropriate
place, but to give people a hard time about posting about DS issues
here, is perhaps a bit much.
It would be a far better use of peoples time if they were to obtain
Scrotex's home address so that he can be educated.

Cos let's face it - the group isn't exactly hoaching with content which
is in danger of expiry.

I don't believe I gave anyone a hard time. I pointed the OP in the
direction of the handheld group as I think he will get a better response
there to any future DS queries. I then corrected Skidpro on his plainly
inaccurate statements.
I am not alone in my thoughts on this as demonstrated by deKay's
agreements and his setting follow-ups to ugvhh in another branch of this
thread.
How constructive of you to resurrect an issue that had ended eight days
ago by basically saying we should let the charter slide slightly for DS
discussion in here, especially considering how you normally back
charters so vehemently, quoting them and threatening to report people to
their ISPs at every (usually justified I'll admit) opportunity.

No, it would be far better if people would learn to exercise restraint,
stop biting at his comments, and just ignore him.
Hmmm, perhaps I should have taken my own advice here and ignored your
unnecessary dredging up of this thread too. Ah well.

My opinion of this differs with yours.

Which only proves that Dekay agrees with you.

I hadn't spotted the date, as I am just back from holidays. However, I
do not believe that there is an "expiry time" set on my making comment.

No I didn't.
I actually believe that the the DS can be considered on-topic for the
Gameboy group, by means of the fact that it has a GBA cartridge slot and
can play GBA games by design.
The Gameboy Player device for the Cube was similarly tolerated for
discussion on the Gaemboy group, for much the same reasons.

It was at least partly, a tongue in cheek comment.

Fair enough. I actually, and typically, considered immediately after I
had clicked send.

The way I read it (perhaps harshly) the very exact wording of the
charter proves you are wrong. I doubt very much we will change our
opinions, and know I will still point people to ugvhh in the future so
with Toby's post in mind can we just end this here agreeing to disagree
on this one? >> Stay informed about: another code |
