Objects not there - Okay, it's happened several times now, I've gone back in to check, and I know it's not just a mistake I'm making. I've some cars from MTS2, and when called for I've gone to other pages to download meshes for them. I put them in the..

My Sim laid the baby down.
Now they can't interact with it, won't pick it up.
Baby isn't moving, it's just stuck on the floor!
I got a error code when I typed in moveobjects_on and also moveobjectson
Is it supposed to be move_objectson?
I'm gonna write it down this time!

Now the baby still isn't moving...but it's icon is turning yellow.
No stinky fumes coming off her or anything.

I moved the family to the bin and into a different house for now.
They took the baby with them, and she's green again and seems fine.

Do the nasty then moveobjects off

I used the moving to the dim bin before to solve "crib deaths" but I
hear tell that the easy way is to moveobjects on, delete the baby,
moveobjects off, save then exit and return. The kid should be on the
street ready to interact.

It's moveobjects on with no space bar anywhere...try again and delete
the baby, then exit the lot...baby should appear fully functional when
you reload at the mailbox...

If the game accepts the capital letter on the first word then most likely it
will accept all lowercase for you as well. It's supposed to be be
lowercaseUppercase lowercaseUppercase on/off or true/false. So:

moveObjects on

boolProp testingCheats... etc

I believe maxon told me this some time ago but if I have a bad memory there
are people who will correct me, I'm sure. And I won't mind Smile

No - if I did tell you that, I was wrong. The game, I'm told, is written in
C and so doesn't recognise capitals at all. So you can do all lower case.
I do. Everything in my userstartup.cheat file is lower case.

Hmm... This was when I first appeared on the group a couple of years ago.
I'm pretty sure it was said at the time that some versions of the game
require capitalisation of certain words while some do not. If it's not right
then it's not right. Personally, I've never used upper case in any of the
cheats and they always work.

I think at one point we did think the US games and European ones were
different but that's what I was told about the code language - that
capitalisation made no difference. I'm not a coder myself so don't know
from my own knowledge.

Also much about the cheats seem to have been standardised since then - same
with quite a lot of stuff in the game. The American game now has the 24
hour clock I believe (which they call Military Time) which makes some people
complain - I, being European, didn't even notice it since we're used to it.

It must be something you can set in game settings because my clock is still
AM and PM same as it's always been...
