That's why I tried to keep my characters in different
areas at first, so they weren't repeating the same
quests. But they do get a bit easier the second
time. Now that I've seen a lot more, some of the
new characters just pick and choose the quests they
want for different regions. If you visit all the
normal areas for a level, there are more quests
to do than can be completed before they go gray.

I have no bank alts either. I like to fly my characters back and forth as part of the game.
explore and adventuring along the way. How cool is that.
seems boring to log out the "main" and log in the bank alt - to much reality there huh.

Yep. Prot pally can last as long as a warrior,
and when health gets low just heal and keep
going. If all else fails and no mana is low,
then just lay on hands and get all health back.
It can be fun when the paladin isn't the main
tank, has to take over when the rest of the
group has died, finish off the elites, and then
rez everyone. I think I embarrassed a high
level who was leading us level 30's through
an instance this way when he wasn't paying

Also the point where the paladin uses the bubble
is long past the point where the warrior has died
or run away. A paladin will use heals first,
then a mana potion to keep using heals (a warrior
will have potions on cooldown at this point),
then a lay on of hands, then as a last ditch
effort use a bubble.
If a paladin uses a bubble too early, they
usually end up dead because it'll be on cooldown
a minute later when it's really needed.

Well, if you want to play on the one server with all your friends, and
still have a shadow priest, healbot priest, resto druid, feral druid,
prot warrior, fury warrior, holy paladin, prot paladin, combat rogue,
subtly rogue, DM hunter, MM hunter, Demo 'lock, Affliction 'lock,
Destruction 'lock, elemental Shaman, frost mage, fire mage, arcane
mage, and maybe a few others, you're going to need another account.
Trading between toons isn't as important as having friends to play
with I believe.

A mount for going between AH and mailbox??? You are forced dismount
when entering the AH. That just amplifies why Darnassus is a bad place
for bankers.
My banker will make the trip from AH to mailbox at least 5 or 6 times in
a single AH session. He fills up his bags from the mailbox, goes to AH
to sell the stuff, returns to the mailbox to fill his bags again, etc.
Even with a full set of 4 traveler's bags, that is still 5 or 6 trips.
I will usually go to the bank once too, to pick up some more books to
sell. I have him fill up his bank slots with these books, and then sell
4 of each type per day.
Exodus has them the closest, with the mailbox right at the door of the
AH, and the bank pretty close. I tend to use SW myself, because the
banker is then also close to the source of several herbs, thread, etc
needed for quests.

With the possessions mod, you can filter by character and what they
have currently equipped so you can see what they're wearing.
Also useful for finding which toon you mailed a certain mat too. And
so you can keep it all in one place so don't waste room.
What I want though is a mod that'll let me know what level my alt's
secondary skills are without changing toons or alt-tabbing to look up
the slow slow armory. Mostly for cooking. I want to know if a recipe
I see on one toon should be sent to another so they can level on it.
And first aid too. Was questing in Stromgarde, and I'm pretty sure my
lower level toons need some of the books from there, but I couldn't
recall which (and only had one inv space left anyway) so didn't end up
buying any. I'm tempted to learn how to make my own mods and write it
myself actually. Haven't been able to find one on curse-gaming that
looks like it'd do what I want.

Well, big bags do make it a heck of a lot easier; my warlock was on a trial
account until lvl 20 so had no trading whatsoever allowed, and just got a
set of 6-slot bags from the vendor. That was *painful*, having to run back
to a vendor every other quest because my bags were full! And my bank ended
up totally full of metal, leather etc that I was saving up to auction when
I upgraded; I had to just vendor all the greens. When I upgraded the
account I immediately sent a set of 16-slot bags over and suddenly it
became a heck of a lot better; no need to find a vendor until I've done a
large batch of quests!

Well yes, but if I make characters on another server my friends aren't
there, so there's no point making them, as I'd only play ones on the same
server as my friends (hence my Horde characters being mostly abandoned; I
do have a few friends over there but I miss my guild too much when I'm on
Horde side so rarely play there for long)

Ah, easier for you that way then, with me I have three high levels and a
couple of lowbies active at once right now... and two in-between ones that
aren't questing but are earning via professions, so all in all it'd be a
right mess if I tried to use one banker for them. And I don't really see a
need anyway, it's not like tons of auctionable things ever drop; most stuff
that fills my bags when I'm out questing/farming is just vendor trash, or
stuff used in professions, which just gets sent to the appropriate
character to make use of.

Yup, it's awesome when I'm healer in a group with a pally tanking, I get
killed, but he can keep himself alive long enough to finish off the mobs
and res me - I absolutely love pally tanks Ok, I've only really worked
with one much, but he is very good indeed; I know any run with him tanking

Absolutely, now I've been around a while and done most stuff in the game, I
still enjoy it, but just don't have the motivation to do a lot, *unless*
I'm with my friends. Being on the same server, in the same guild, it's
great, on another server I'd just never play because I'd miss them. And I
do have characters on other servers; funnily enough none have got beyond
lvl 10... and the ones that got that far only did so when my own server was
down.

I would simply love some way to know what recipes my alts already know. So
many times I end up buying recipes I already knew... I've ended up writing
down which ones I *don't* know for jewelcrafting, as there are so many BoE
ones on the AH it's very hard to remember (and I check Horde side as well
as Alliance, to increase my chances of picking up the ones I still need, so
I can't just look at that AH on the character with the profession!)

There is a mod that does that. Recipe Book. But you need to have the
recipe to mouse over to find out which of your toons already knows it.
Doesn't help in finding out which toons already know cooking recipes
that require that piece of meat you're currently mousing over.
Well, I only just then bothered to install it as it wasn't quite what
I was after and haven't actually tried it yet, but from the blurb
about it, that's how it works.
