Been away for a few days. Had a migraine headache for the first time in
about 18 years last Thursday morning. Dragged myself home from work and went
to bed. Worked the next day, and the following morning, only to get another,
much stronger migraine that night! That one lasted all the next day.
Following day started ok, then BAM! Migraine number 3 in 5 days. This time,
I must have really pissed it off, 'cos it was set on taking my head off.
Needed 2 days off to recover from this one. Ended up with these tablets that
cost $10 each, and they seemed to do the job. Going to get my eyes testes
this week to make sure it's nothing to do with that, but it got quite scary
at one point. I couldn't form coherent sentences. I thought I was having a
stroke. My hands went numb, and my mouth went numb. I tried to say words,
but they just came out as gibberish!
Anyway, I seem to be back, and feeling reasonable today, so we'll see how we
go.
Carry on!

Wow, not a good week. Glad to see you back, although I imagine you are
probably a bit nervous waiting for those headaches to reoccur?

Ouch! Having your eyes in your scrotum must be painful! No wonder your
head hurts!
Oh, you meant testeD... sorry... my bad!
Seriously, I hope all your aches and pains go away soon!

Very sorry you have migraine, especially such a nasty session. It's
said that only the most intelligent people get them. Maybe there's a
smidge of comfort in that?

WOW! That sounds scary! Glad you are doing better, CL. I have had the
great fortune to not have had a migraine. I have friends who do have them
and they are debilitating!
You definitely need to get that second issue checked out completely and DO
NOT WAIT!

I've just managed to read your post tonight CL, and please believe me
when I say I sympathize with you and the pain you endured. I say
'endured' because by now, I am of the impression it is under control.
Was wondering a trivial thought though...do you pronounce it
'meegraines' as they do in the UK or 'mygraines' as we pronounce it in
North America?
I know either way it's pronounced, it's a definite pain in the
a**.....uhhh....head.

Hi Mike.
The gibberish and the numb hands and mouth was just a normal effect of the
migraine. It was nothing more vicious like a stroke or anything like that.
It was just that I'd never had one as severe as that before, and it got me
into a panic attack at the time.
