You need to have "super spoilers" to enable the carrier AI
jets to stop in a short distance.
You might start by trying to change this parameter
in the aircraft.cfg file:
[airplane_geometry]
spoiler_limit= 500.000 <--- increase this value til AC stops short.
That MAY do it for some aircraft. Others may need the
.air file changed as well.
What I have done for many of my carrier AI is use the
"AI Carrier Jet.air" file that is contained in the free
AI update for the payware Alphasim Enterprise package.
Look for the file "CVN-65_AI_Package_Ver_2.zip".
As I recall, my E-2C Hawkeye, C-1A Trader and C-2A Greyhound
stop fine with the spoiler limit at default. I'm also using the
C-1A.air file for the C-2A.
