Post subject: advanceCD on hard disk?
Archived from groups: alt>games>mame (more info?)

Hi,
I want to build a arcade cabinet, running advanceCD which is a small
linux build on CD. Ofcourse all the partitions on this build are
readonly (like a liveCD is)
There is an option to install this build to hard disk but the
partition stays read only.
The system allows the inclusion of a shell script which runs at boot
time. In this script it would be possible to do a "mount" of a fat32
partition as read/write.
However I don't know how this script should look like.
Can someone help me with this?
Thanks

mount -o remount,rw /where/your/harddisk/is/mounted

Tired of Windows malware but fear to try out Linux? Try a CD-live Linux which
does not touch your harddisk. Like <http://www.ubuntu.com/> or
<http://www.knoppix.com/>. Find out if Linux works for you without any risk.
