So I went back to my hopeless EB store today...and asked if they had a
release date for TRL yet: THEY DO!

April 12 (this is Australia for those who aren't aware), I'm fairly sure is
what he said.

Retailing for $79.95 (most new release PC games have been going for about
$90-110 here in Australia for the past couple of years - just to give you an
idea of pricing context).

And it's PC-DVD (good news for you and me McG - our wishes were answered, of
course Wink ).

I nearly had an axiety attack in the store today - but luckily I was able to
pull the VISA out without passing out on the floor.

I'd like to take this opportunity to open the inaugural Lara Anonymous
meeting:-

Hi, I'm Dragoncarer, and I'm addicted to Lara and Tomb Raiding.
*expectant pause for polite clapping*

So...finally some real concrete information on release date/ pricing
(personally I never trust online game retailers until the moment of actual
release).

Heh I've had mine on preorder since December or so (I think I've mentioned
this but what the hey <shrug>). I certainly hope that Australian dollars or
like 3-4 to the US dollar, 'cause it would seem unfair for you to have to
pay such a steep differential. ^_^

1 USD is usually about 1.33 AUD (at www.xe.com right now it's 1.37 so there
you go)...no we just get jibbed on nearly everything...games cost more,
books cost more (but then they usually have a better production 'value', for
which I'm happy to pay a premium), video cards cost more (grrr) etc etc.

Yeah, that preorder price is *a lot* more than 30% ... ouch.

Think of it as a premium for an *exotic, imported* product! Wink Smile :/
