Ive decided to optimize Oblivion by editing the .ini file and use of a guide
from atomicmpc.com to tweak the .ini file. Once i entered Chorrol, i heard
the citizens talking that there are 'strange noises' coming from Eugal
Belette's house, i decided to check it out. Once in his basement after a few
locked doors im in the Mythic Dawn storage area of his house, nothing much
here. Though, one quite noticable difference... i have these large YELLOW
triangles that appear, you can see through them, and so far its the only
place ive noticed this happen. Whats gone wrong here, the ini file? Will
this be a problem later on in the game?
Also ive noticed that the 'weak fireball' spell given during one of the mage
quests is a lot more 'grainy', that is its not as 'smooth' as i remember it.
Is this also from the ini file?

The yellow triangles are default meshes for missing meshes--as when
you load a mod but the meshes are either missing or get put in the
wrong place. >> Stay informed about: And do you want Yellow triangles with that? |

I've seen that happen in vanilla Oblivion. My character was in a ruin,
one she'd been in before, and where a stone altar had been on her last
visit, there was now a large yellow cube.
My suspicion is that the game simply failed to load the mesh when the
cell loaded, but I don't really know enough about the game's internal
operations to say. As I recall, that happened pre-patch and I haven't
seen anything similar since.

Ok good to know it isnt serious. I will load up the game later and go back
inside the basement to check it out, see if reloading makes a difference. I
too have been playing for a long time, and this is the first time its
happened.
Cheers
