Yavin Escape SP Mod for JA/JKIIII

I just downloaded this the other day, and I'm getting killed left and
right. The basics of the mod seem pretty straightforward, but I just
can't survive against those Dark Jedi. I thought there might be
something wrong with my controllers, so I went back and played the Kor
maps on JA thinking that if I wasn't playing the game right, I'd see
the difference there. Now I know that JA wasn't the most challenging
game out there, but certainly I could expect some consistency - nope,
my Jedi skills seemed more than adequate for that game. Is Yavin
Escape just much harder than stock JA? Or am I missing something?
