I had a really REALLY good game going. I had a L23 Valkyrie down into
Gehennom. Had maxed out stats, GoP & +7 Mojo. GDSM, HoT, Tshirt, BoS,
BoWW, BoL, SoR, Blessed BoH, =oTC, 250HPs. My armor was all blessed to
the max + protection so my AC was -45 or so.
I was lucky to have gotten some genocides so i didn't have any h, ;, or
L left.
Then after some polypiling, i got a = of polymorph + = of polymorph
control so i poly'd into my favorite : Vampire Lord.
Down in Gehennom, i was bashing around pretty easily and I was starting
to get a bit lax.
I saw a cockatrice and since i had GoP on (not to mention several
Lizard corpses), i thot nothign of bashing it. I attacked it and
wasn't quite paying attention when i got "DYWYPI?"
huh? WTF?!!??!
Then i realized... I was a VAMPIRE LORD. I must've bitten it.

| Ouch. I've done similiar. It wasn't at near as high a level. I'd just
found my first artifact weapon, and I got stupid. "Oooo, look a
chickitrice to massacre. *Stoned* (Insert 15 minutes of swearing at
computer for my idiot mistake.) I had a ring of polymorph control and a
trap though.

LOL! I might have polyed into an Aleax in the same situation - the base
AC for an Aleax is lower, thus dropping your AC and allowing you to

I would have swear Aleax were non-poly monsters.
Actually, I would even have swear that all 'A' were non-poly monsters
("<Gott> weiss ich will keine Engel sein")...

AC down. Maybe you can't in the new versions or maybe the information
was erroneous.

No, no, you can. I was wrong, thus the 'would' all over my message.
And the "Learn something everyday" conclusion was addressed to myself.
The Rammstein quote just cannot be set as a YAFM without a bit care...
