Hi,
I was thinking about a possible reference to Funke's Inkheart-books (I'm
not sure how popular they are, especially in non-German-speaking
countries, though).
Upon reading a spellbook, there could be a small chance of creating a
random monster, possibly peacheful/tame (and maybe only weak ones, so
this does not open a hole for getting pets easily), or small amounts of
gems/glass/gold. Maybe this could be connected to the time spent
reading the book, so it only comes into effect for long durations and
thus does not alter the game balance.
I thought this could also be a new (and rather unlikely) type of
too-difficult-spellbook-effect, but I'd rather see this happen for
*high* intelligence than for low one, as in Funke's books this is rather
a special gift than a malice effect (well, it *could* possibly be seen
as such...)
Just wondering what you'd say to this idea
Cheers,
Daniel
