You could consider this "preliminary testing," but with a level 1 character, it _seems_ to be that the lawful boost gained from whipping yourself is (10 * HP lost). Since I think this is a 'hard' boost to alignment that isn't affected by experience level, that would make it arguably the best way to get to L+ in the late-game if necessary, provided you have a whip that can get past the natural PV that comes from the increased toughness most PCs have by that time. >> Stay informed about: YAGBU: Whipping oneself
