The cap for the training of a stat is said to be 5000. However, this
seems to be true with an interesting twist, even though I don't know if
this really makes any difference at all... *shrugs* I noticed it, so
I'll put it out there for anyone who it might interest.
I was eating herbs, and I noticed that if the training was under 5000,
the herb would raise the training value as far as it normally would,
even if the 'end result' is over 5000. After that, eating the same herb
won't raise it anymore.
So, it seems likely that instead of capping it at 5000 the way
alignment or something else works (the game won't let alignment go past
-10000 or 6000, as an example), the game simply checks to see if the
current number is 5000 or greater at the time training is applied. If
it is, the value will not be raised at all. Preliminary guess, but an
educated one if I say so myself. *shrugs*
