Not
bothering
with
much
spoiler
space
for
this
'The gelatinous cube dissolves the gelatinous cube corpse'
Uh-huuuh... Kind of like a vortex blowing up and eradicating another
vortex of the same time, no?
A more plausible continuation might be:
'The gelatinous cube melds with the gelatinous cube corpse. The
gelatinous cube suddenly appears stronger!'
Sort of like the T-1000 or whatever in T2 when it goes all molten.

Gelatinous cubes have a 1% chance of leaving a corpse, so I'm not
surprised that BounceBack didn't know it was possible; I've never
witnessed it myself. *chuckles* >> Stay informed about: YAFM: Gelatinous cubes |

Do gelatinous cubes (or other jellies for the matter) leave corpses? O_o

I think that the gelatinous cube is the only jelly that leaves a corpse.
I seem to remember some discussion over whether that was a bug or not,
because it doesn't seem logical at all. I think the general conclusion
was that it's an intended part of the game... it has a paralyzing
effect, so I guess it was coded in there somewhere. >> Stay informed about: YAFM: Gelatinous cubes |

It may easily be simply a chance of paralysis, and not guaranteed. It
definitely doesn't grant resistance, though. *chuckles* >> Stay informed about: YAFM: Gelatinous cubes |
