YACD - Never gotten this far, could use some advice... - So I've cleared the Pit/Hive. That's the farthest I've ever gotten folks and I've got some great gear this time. I haven't found Tomb yet and really I have no idea how to use it or why I need it but I hear that people need it so I've been..

I am trying to play without spoiling (at least major things - I feel I
should know some fundamentals about how the game works, such as what
weapon skills races have, so I spoil those. At the same time, I'm
trying to avoid item spoilers).

That being said, I do have a question regarding the ring. It "lets me
teleport." But I can not figure out how. I've tried to evoke it,
wield it (and evoke it), zap it, cast it, and everything else I can
think of. Am I missing something? Is the description misleading?

Oh, and I have for the first time run into trolls, which are a major
pain in the ass. However, those are simply tough. The bigger issue is
the statue. There's one on level 9 or 10 (don't recall which
specifically. Avoiding a spoiler on those is proving very hard, since
it has very odd characteristics. I guess I'll just avoid it for the
time being, but there's so much sweet, sweet loot around it!

The damage to the armor is very recent. Damn jelly caught me off
guard; I was running from something else and needed to go through it to
escape.

Yup. I'm not sure if 'a'ctivate displays the '* to show the full list'
tip, but if it doesn't, it should.

This is really just an interface issue, not a spoiler issue.

Some things are 'E'vokable, while others simply add themselves to the
special abilities accesible under 'a'ctivate a special ability along
with your racial and godly powers. The ring invisibility lives there.

'E'voke hits items in the weilded slot, so stuff you wear (armor, rings,
amulets) is probably always in this latter group.
