I have a Netgear MR814 router.
It never locks up when the XBox is off. But about half the time I use
the XBox, for games or for videos, the router locks up.

Anything I can do about this?

If your router supports 'multicast' or 'multicast filtering' you can try
turning that on (it usually solves issues with 360 streaming in a local
network environment).

Failing that the 360 tries to connect to other network connected devices
by UPnP, check that you don't have any filtering, blocking, or even UPnP
disabled completely for all devices.

My 360 didn't like my D-Link router (G604T) for some reason if wireless
was enabled, never did get to the bottom of it, but it works fine with
my LinkSys (BEFSR41) as long as multicast filtering and UPnP are on.

word on checking UPnP. having this enabled crashed my router everytime I
tried doing any network type of activity with my PS3.
