I'd do it if I could actually use it for anything. It's all good in
theory, but in practice? How would they benefit us? I mean sure you
might be able to play Sims 3 in.. I dont know... 2535x something
resolution... >> Stay informed about: Wow, now I have even more reason to want an upgrade I can'.. |

I've been wanting a new system for ages, now (since last tax return,
actually but bills came first). I'm still using a socket 478 Prescott 3GHz
and AGPx8 6600GT . Built early 2005. Time for an upgrade if I can ever get
the money without a stack of bills following it in the door. I'd settle for
a dualcore with maybe an 8800 or even 8600 PCI-express. As long as it's
newer than what I have so the games actually run smoothly again. >> Stay informed about: Wow, now I have even more reason to want an upgrade I can'.. |

Yes. I probably should have waited another couple of weeks but I wanted it
so much I went ahead. Thing's are now a little tight for a while.
I just don't understand how the universe knows when you've got a little more
money, but it always does, and then there's a few extra costs to make sure
that you don't go around wasting the money on enjoying yourself or something
equally frivolous . . .

Like replacing the window that shattered when closing it too hard while very
very pissed off with certain neighbours... Window frames flex, glass does
not.
He's at it again, too. No way I'd have been able to sleep with the noise
going on in stops & starts. Alcohol & stimulants (illegal), what an annoying
combination when consumed by a self centred, agressive little jerk. Trouble
is, it's human-created noise. Harder to report to police. Like jumping up &
down on the laundry roof (metal).
*goes & checks the security cameras are all running*
Well, if he does anything, I'll have a record. >> Stay informed about: Wow, now I have even more reason to want an upgrade I can'.. |

Everytime you mention him I love my Neighbours more. Sure, Karl plays his
music too loud sometimes but if I bang on the fence he gets the message. The
other side have effed off leaving a mother cat and all her kittens (just shy
of adulthood) and, as much as I deplore them for it at least they were quiet
while they were there. The block behind us is too far away to hear anything
from (if ever you feel lonely for the country just let me know and you can
come around here and watch the chickens scratch down by the creek.

Just loud music now & then (and turning it down when asked! Wow!) I could
deal with. I'm only up to 13 pages of logs tenancies tribunal asked for.
And half a DVD of "best of the best" or perhaps "worst of the worst"
security camera footage. You know, him throwing people off the balcony, him
threatening to kick my head in, etc. I've left out his mates urinating over
the side into my potplants & minor stuff like that.
But it wn't last forever - the form 8 got posted thursday so now it's only a
matter of time before Keithieboy gets the boot.
Ah, chooks can be surprisingly relaxing to watch, can't they? Dopey bugers,

I'd prefer a card that doesn't take as much power and generate so much heat.
As for physical dimensions, as long as it fits a standard ATX case...who
cares? I don't stare at the inside of my PCs... >> Stay informed about: Wow, now I have even more reason to want an upgrade I can'.. |
