Okay..., I am probably creating troubles for you guys by asking this, but
what would you do if you are in a situation like this.... A
coworker/friend of mine who I had some bad relationship..., but I still
want to let him know I am still okay and would like to keep the friendship
normal (obviously it's not realistic to keep the relationship as good as
before). It seems like he just wants to ignore me. I am beginning to have
suspicion that it's his roomate who is giving him some clouds of suspicion
on me. So it's like he doesn't trust me much so it doesn't matter how nice
I talk to him, he doesn't seem to be the one who want to be the one who is
doing the forgiving. What would you do under this situation? Not very
easy situation..., since he is a coworker and he is also younger (he is
very insecure at times and likes to prove his manhood or something).

Well, I would say this: Ashi, at times you tend to over-think things,
making problems bigger than they are. if you keep pressing, people want
to push away. At work, there can be temporary fallings-out between
workers, but rarely are people immature enough to at least think that,
given a little time and space, employee relations can be repaired. I
have some people that have worked for me for 20 years and
occasionally, they piss me off. Do I say anything about it? Not if
it's not affecting customers or the overall job. I always feel better
quickly, and can overlook others' faults because they also have to put
up with mine. You have faults, so does he. Overlook them and move on.
Hope that wasn't cruel(not trying to be) but as one with many more
years in the workplace, some things just are not worth making a
problem out of.

Now what is he? friend? coworker? enemy? Get yourself ordered up
there.

Now he is just another coworker, since I still rely on him to do some
chore. Though I am afraid he's going to be an enemy if nothing has
improved. Our relationship has turned so sour even seeing his face makes
me feel stressful. I am still doing some Ashi-esque humour (like putting
on some ugly-ass women's furry hats Gap makes to make people laugh) but he
just won't laugh.... I made some cookies and he said he is cutting on
sugar.... And everybody else was so happy to eat my cookies.... I guess
it's partly my fault to be friend with a liberal anyways.... Oops, that's
another issue....

I guess what your main fault is is being big on labelling people.

That was suppose to be a comic relief anyways.... But I can tell you it
wasn't political opinions that drove us apart.

This makes me curious... what did drive you apart? Is it too personal, or
could you share it here?
