Well, there was one on the 13th from UTMaster, but there's always the
possibility you have him filtered.

There are no other posts due to the gigantic depression amongst the UT
community caused by the release of the giant turd called UT3. The
community may never recover.

Oh, there could be a "UT4", much like the follow-on UT2004 which
revived (due to the addition of ONS) the debacle that was UT2003 , but
now that Epic has "gone console", I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think this last effort will be it. There are more servers and more
enthusiasum for UT now than UT3. Multiplay in the UK have cut back UT3
servers and put more UT servers on instead due to demand.

There are far to many alternative games to play now. COD4 , The
Battlefield 2/2142 saga. Halflife 2, Crysis.

What was there when UT was gaining fans??

Quake3

Tribes2

Both good games but not UT.

The question is how long will UT go for?

Until Microsoft OS Lonhorn 2009 or some such renders UT unplayable.

And if it does LINUX and LOKI are always ready.

Just my thoughts.

Probably would be easier getting UT to run under Micro$oft Longhorn 2009
than the current crop of Linux 64 O.S.'es.

I haven't kill filtered the Master but i didn't get that post either...aahh
well guess I'll have to give Shaw a call and see what's up on their end. I
haven't (and probably never will) try The Giant Turd : aka UT3. The only
FPS I play when I get a chance (which is slim to none) is UT99. Ever since
Atari took over and made it look like an arcade game I stuck with the 1st
ever pc game I had ever tried. Not sure which servers you all play on but
when i do get a slight chance to go online I'm on the zp| GREAT ALASKA
UNREALTOURNAMENT SERVER\63.208.142.90\7778 It cycles between Instagib, DM
(insta and reg. weapons) with a few mutators (speed, vengeance etc). Maybe
I'll see a few of you on there sometime.
