Would people be up for tournaments starting after the preliminary
rounds of the currently scheduled Week of Nightmare events?

I'm thinking of running a few events starting around 10:30-11:00 pm.
Monday through Thursday/maybe Friday. I'll also need some people
willing to be my back-up in case I just happen to make the finals of
any of the earlier events.

I was thinking of regular constructed (2+F) on monday and wed, booster
draft (2+F) on tuesday, and sealed deck (starter and 3-4 boosters; 2+F)
on thursday, with potentially an unsanctioned format (Succubus Club/Toy
Chest Test?) on Friday after the last chance qualifier.

email me if you have any thoughts or suggestions or are willing to be a
back-up organizer...

I can't organize anything Sunday night (at least not late...because I
have some Monday morning obligations), but depending on how many people
are going to be around that early I'm sure we can get something going.

Thanks, I'll make sure we have cards for the limited events and I'll
bring my laptop.

Yeah, something unsanctioned on Friday would be welcome after the stress of
a "serious" tournament. Succubus Club (that's the deck-tradey one, right)
seems particularly appropos, given the number of fun/new/wacky decks that
should be available at the NAC.

Otherwise, all those other suggestions sound mighty fine, mighty fine.

What about Sunday night? Any possibility there?

Duffin's supposed to be there, and he has a long history of being
manipulated into running events... we can most likely get something
together. Smile

Hell yes! Most likely both Fletcher and I will play in most/all of
these.

Sealed deck with what? Whatever's available, TBD? Also, what's "Toy
Chest Test" format?

Yeah, whatever we have on hand. I'm waiting to hear back from the
Lasombra to see what sets he will have available since we will be
getting the cards for the two limited events through him.

The complete rules for toy chest test are available here:
http://thelasombra.com/variants/toychest.txt

The basic idea is that you have a beginning, middle, and end game deck
built from 20-30 cards. and you can switch between them as a master
phase action during game play.

I've gotten enough of a response that I've put these on the calendar,
as long as at least 8 players show up for them they we will play these
as sanctioned (except for Friday's fun one) events.

Remember that 3rd Edition will not be tournament legal until Wednesday
the 4th for constructed play - so for Monday's constructed event you
cannot use any cards (even reprints) with the third edition symbol.

And I'm still taking suggestions for the sets we pull from for tuesday
and thursday's draft/sealed events (all assuming product will be
available)...
