I would like to try Starcraft but see all the versions on ebay are for
windows 95 or 98 or nt 4.0 and macintosh 7.6 or higher. I have Windows XP.
Can anyone confirm or deny that one of those ebay versions will work for me?

Thanks.

It's the same game

Even Diablo I will still install - but you need to download a patch to
access battle.net

Starcraft is a more recent game than that.

However, buying a copy off e-bay runs some risk that your key will be in
use - rendering your purchase pointless. I wouldn't take the risk -
just buy it at the store. Only original starcraft has a key - you
don't have to worry about a key for broodwar.

Yeah, I'd wager a new copy of the SC battlechest wouldn't run for more
than 10-15 bucks at retail this point in time.

Hey don't worry.
IT doesn't matter to work on your computer.
Window XP is enough to play Starcraft.

Well, it's still the same game. All you need is a patch. That will work out just find.

Yea it run smoothly last time when i was using my win98. No reason why it cannot run on windows XP. Go and try on the demo and if it could work, means theres no problem.
