Guess what, moron -- this is a PUBLIC FORUM. You don't need to
solicit my responses!
: You're welcome by the way. Oh, and as long as you're thanking the
: "profiteers" on RGVAC, you should also extend a warm cozy to our good
: friend Art, big dog (arcadechips.com), Andre at AMC Solutions, Matty-t,
: Wish-Bringer, Dick M., John O. and the many others that sell boards,
: parts and services here.
:
: Oh, and don't forget to give yourself a big pat on the back for fixing
: boards for people when you're "in the mood" and the $3,000.00+ you
: made from the Berzerk/Frenzy multi-boards. I'm sure you donated all
: that money to your favorite local charity.
Profit... yeah... because the all the time required to design the boards
was free, the pcb fabrication was free, the parts were all free, the
time to assemble the boards was free, and the testing was free.
Yeah, sure, I made out like a bandit. How much is 100+ hours of your
time worth? In fact, since I made so much money, how about I send you
a parts list and you do a second run?
Since you obviously haven't figured it out, pcb repair and design of
new boards is a skill. Shotgunning a power supply board using the
list of parts from Bob Roberts's repair kit is not.
Nice job of attacking me instead of ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS about
what you get for this $45 "service".

How about the alternative of sending those to jbuck and paying $45 a
pop for them?
If you really want them fixed then drop me an e-mail and we'll work it
out. >> Stay informed about: FS: Williams Linear Power Supply Rebuild Service |

The truth that I made some money for my design work?
No, that doesn't hurt a bit.
NOW ANSWER THE QUESTION!
What parts do you replace for your $45 fee, scammer?

After about 30 mins of training in basic soldering, I'd trust a

Mark are you for real? Do you really think a tech's time isnt worth at LEAST
$45 a half hour, plus parts?
$45 including parts is a deal - and an example of why I wont do arcade or
monitor repairs, the money per hour just isnt there compared to TV or
industrial controller repair

He doesnt have to answer that - as long as he ships back a working board he

It's not worth a dime if the work isn't done to my satisfaction, and this
guy hasn't shown any sort of aptitude or competence in what he's
advertising.
His own posts show that he doesn't really understand the failure mechanisms
of the supply, yet he thinks he can fix them?!
