Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the following issue?

My wiimote is not synchronized to my hand movements in a timely manner
when playing games on my new Sony Bravia 52XBR4 LCD. There is a
quarter to half second delay from when I move my hand holding the
wiimote to when the cursor moves across the screen. I previously used
my Wii on an old 32 inch Sony CRT TV and had no problems.

I called both Nintendo and Sony for support. While both were
friendly, ultimately the basic steps they walked me through did not
resolve the issue.

For reference, my Wii is hooked up to my LCD via component video
cables. I tried using the old cables that come with the Wii as well.
The cables do not appear to make any difference.

How many ms is the screen? I think it needs to be at least 8ms, but it
probably is.

It's probably the result of lag in your TV. Modern flat panel TVs do
a lot of processing to try to "improve" the image and that takes time.
Try turning on Game Mode on your TV and see if that helps.
