It's not much like Dramatic Editing. It's more like in Mr. Tolkien's D&D
campaign, when Strider's player spent a bunch of XP on Backgrounds
mid-game and declared he was actually the rightful heir of Gondor. Then,
of course, it took him the whole campaign to save up enough XP to
actually buy the Backgrounds necessary to be the /king/ of Gondor, but
clearly he didn't much mind.
I hear Weapons of the Gods has a mechanic called "lore sheets" that make
this a standard occurrence in that game. Spend XP on a lore sheet, get
the background associated with it.

yeah, i know.
but since they aren't really impressive, and their speed was greater
than a normal daiklave in power combat (and speed in PC is a function
of lenght alone) i simply assume the authors re-visited their vision
of the weapon to make it more cool...
4 feet is a normail daiklave lenght, and the same lenght of a katana.
not quite a katanaklave, isn't it?

I've actually been thinking that would be a good way to
handle it. It makes good world-sense to me, and it's also
cool in that it lets you get a better magic weapon without
having to go "Yeah, this daiklaive I've regained from

Reaper daiklaves aren't just daiklave katanas, they are daiklave
rapiers and daiklave sabres too.

The "standard excuse" I suggest for two-dot orichalcum daiklaves in my
games is this: That plain-jane daiklave is from your past incarnation's
funeral trappings. Usurpation-era Sidereals and Terrestrials wouldn't
insult an Essence 10 Solar ghost by burying it without a daiklave, but
that doesn't mean you want to let it keep that Grand Daiklave of Conquest...

Then they'd be grand daiklave katanas. (^_^) Even for the Exalted, I
imagine there is a limit to the strength and leverage you can exert on
your giant sword.
Actually, something I have always wanted to do as a white elephant for
one of my games is drop in a HUGE (even by artifact weapon standards)
daiklave once wielded by an Essence 9-10 elder Solar. He swung it
one-handed, but PC-level characters need both hands, and the base
requirement is Strength 6 just to do THAT...

maybe, but the fact rests the they are speed +9, right? and we don't
have a clear "sephiroth's sword" equivalent, while the reaper daiklave
is obviously "cloud's sword"

yep, but the reaper daiklave design is quite light...

in a shogunate-harrypotter-dragonblooded chronicle i played our city
was situated on a hing and big plateau, connected to another plateau
by means of a single, huge bridge. only the other plateau had an
access to the surrounding lands, and the esplanation was that an
anathema cutted the plateau in 2 about 600 hundred years ago...

Size-wise, both Cloud and Sephiroth carry grand daiklaves.

Comparatively speaking. It's still far too large and heavy for a mortal
to use.

but they use it 1 handed. besides, cloid swords look the siaze of a
reaver daiklave to me

hell, yeah! but these are klaves, and essence make them lighter and
