I'm not sure if they actually realeased any XP patches, but I know they
did an XP version of those. Anyway, with Creatures 1 you'd probably have
to use the NT patch in any case, but of course an XP patch would be
better.

Opinions differ on that one, but you can try out dockingstation which is
free and uses the same engine.
