We don't actively role-play in this group, but there is some chatter.
Granted its died down lately. If you want to start a thread though,
please do! (I guess you already have Razz)

Me too. Actually, I'm a fan of all the nWoD lines. I think they've
really pulled everything together for this new edition.

Have you actually played any of the nWoD lines? How do you
find the new default difficulty (Cool for everything?

Not yet, but I'm gearing up to run a mortal game as we speak, so I'll
be sure to let you know. In theory the fixed difficulty system seems
fair to me, especially considering that you only *need* one success to
succeed on non-extended actions. Any additional successes are just
gravy (until you hit 5 and get an exceptional success.)
I also like the new combat system. Not only the whole one die roll
per attack thing, but I think adding the defense trait also makes the
combat more even. You know, less "okay I hit you, are you down? Okay
you hit me, am I down?" I guess I'm not explaining that very well, it
just felt in the old system like everyone stood around trading blows
until someone failed to soak enough damage.

You COULD, but nobody does.
