I never found combat to be that important to concentrate on directly, so
long as you have a substitute power/skill group to compensate (e.g.
Malkavian stealth, Tremere blood magic, etc). Not sure about the Gangrel,
but I suggest you max out your main 1 or 2 class skills (protean = shape
shifting?) as a bit of a priority. I concentrated on melee weapons a bit &
blood magic with my Tremere & had no probs. Having said that, I also put a
few points into security & hacking as I hate leaving doors unopened
Just have fun & don't sweat it - there's plenty of points to go around &
you're only early in the game. If something is frustrating you with the
combat, try a different approach or do something else. It really is an easy
game for a fps/rpg hybrid & only with the most esoteric of char builds could
one completely cripple a character really.
